Who We Are

Miami Valley Hospital is the largest healthcare provider in the Dayton area with 760 staffed beds. It has the Dayton area’s only:

• Level I trauma center

• High-risk obstetrics and perinatal center in the same facility

• Adult burn center

• Organ transplant center

• Air ambulance service

• Comprehensive gynecological oncology program

• Bone and marrow transplant unit

Miami Valley Hospital holds Magnet Status in nursing and is a 2009 recipient of the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence, placing it among the top five percent of the hospitals in the U.S. HealthGrades named Miami Valley Hospital best in southwest Ohio for 2010 for overall cardiac services.

The hospital plans to open its 12-story southeast addition, with 178 private rooms, in late 2010. The new addition will house a comprehensive cardiac center and orthopedics.
